Got permission to post a recent art test. This was my first attempt at something this polished and realistic. I unfortunately did not get the job, but it was a great learning experience. thanks to all my buds for the help on this along the way.

The topic today on the Spitpaint group on facebook. No photo textures allowed and the piece must be completed in under 30 minutes. Started as a spitpaint, then progressed into a little more. Only about 2 hours spent on this. Trying to nail down that style that Ryan Lang has been doing on those awesome Gargoyles pieces. Here is some process. =)

Color Application

Another attempt at a previously tried style. No color or reference used. Completed in just over an hour. Very inspired by Shaddy Safadi and Mike Yamada.

Recent Sketches
